Heather Z. Lyons, PhD is Program Director and full professor in Loyola University Maryland's Department of Psychology. She received her PhD from the University of Maryland, College Park and her BA in Psychology from Northeastern University (summa cum laude). Dr. Lyons produces scholarship that creates an understanding of how organizational culture, “critical mass,” and discrimination in the workplace predict factors such as productivity, person-organization fit, satisfaction, and retention for diverse employees. Dr. Lyons sits on the editorial boards of the Journal of Black Psychology and the Journal of Career Development. Her leadership in the American Psychological Association includes past executive board member of the Society for Vocational Psychology (Division 17) and member of the Publications Board of Division 29. She is a Fellow of the APA (Division 17). In addition to her work as a teacher-scholar Dr. Lyons is a licensed psychologist and owner of the Baltimore Therapy Group (www.therapistsinbaltimore.com).
