Ambereen-Rose Velji (she/her) is a third-year PsyD student in Clinical Psychology at Alliant International University, Sacramento, California. She holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and a Master of Science in Global Health. Originally from Toronto, Ontario, Ambereen-Rose completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of Toronto, followed by a dual Master of Science in Global Health from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario and a Water Without Borders Diploma from the United Nations University Institute. Ambereen-Rose’s clinical interests are diverse, with a focus on folks struggling with gender incongruence, trauma, eating disorders, and OCD. Her research interests span body image in sport, Indigenous health, and most recently, the intersection of artificial intelligence and neuropsychology, with current data collection for her dissertation. Her strong research background has also earned her the University of Toronto Barbara Drinkwater Award for academic excellence, research, and advocacy in women’s health. Currently, Ambereen-Rose serves as the Student Government Chair at Alliant Sacramento and has enjoyed teaching, mentoring, and empowering students through being a teaching assistant. In her spare time, she enjoys practicing hot yoga, playing the piano, and spending time with friends and family.
