Carolina Altimir, Ph.D., is professor at the Universidad Alberto Hurtado, and Associate Researcher of the Millennium Institute for Research in Depression and Personality (MIDAP). Director of the Latin American Network for Research in Psychotherapy. Member of the Society for Psychotherapy Research (SPR). She earned her Ph.D in Psychotherapy at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. She is a licensed psychologist and psychotherapist in private practice. Dr. Altimir has developed research on the therapeutic relationship, and affect regulation within rupture and repair as well as change processes in psychotherapy. She has also focused her research on examining the subjective perspective and lived experience of therapy process and mental health disorders. Dr. Altimir is currently focusing her research on routine outcome monitoring, based on the paradigm of practice-based evidence, as well as on the impact of the clinician competence training on patient outcome.
