Kleinstäuber, Maria, Senior Lecturer, Department of Psychological Medicine, Dunedin School of Medicine, University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand. Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Germany and New Zealand. Dr. Kleinstäuber is specialized in research of therapy efficacy and pathomechanisms in the area of behavioral medicine, in illness perceptions, and in placebo and nocebo research. Dr. Kleinstäuber gained research and clinical experience in various international research institutions such University of Auckland (New Zealand), Brigham Young University (Provo, USA), and several German universities. Since 2015 she has hold the office as Secretary of the International Society of Behavioral Medicine and is a Research Affiliate of the Department of Health Psychology, KU Leuven, Belgium. In 2013 she received the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Cochrane Review Incentive Scheme and in 2016 the ICBM Early Career Award.
