Electronic Editor’s Fall Column 61 (4)

Well, that’s a wrap on Volume 61!

We are so excited to share our Fall Psychotherapy Bulletin, 61(4), with you. Similar to the content highlighted at this year’s APA conference, we have a special focus in this issue on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and psychology. We will continue to feature articles related to AI throughout the coming year, including content associated with the September 2026 report from the AI and Psychotherapy Work Group on behalf of the Society for the Advancement of Psychotherapy, American Psychological Association, Division 29. These articles provide important education and perspectives in an ever-evolving field.

Another unique feature of this issue is that we have a poem submission! We love highlighting the many different ways this career can inspire and connect with people, and we are excited to feature creative contributions alongside our more traditional scholarly and professional content.

Additionally, APA has informed us that the listserv will be discontinued beginning November 15, 2026. We are actively working to identify a solution to replace this resource and will keep you updated as we learn more.

We are also excited to share that our entire Electronic Communications Team will be staying on for another year! This means you will continue to see some familiar faces and names if you have contributed your time and efforts to the Psychotherapy Bulletin.

As always, please submit your articles through the “Write for Us” page on our website. There, you can find all of the requirements and guidelines for submissions.

Our 2027 submission deadlines are:

  • January 15
  • April 15
  • July 15
  • October 15

We publish articles on a rolling basis online, while the quarterly deadlines correspond to content included in the PDF and electronic versions of the Psychotherapy Bulletin.

Please reach out with any questions at editor@societyforpsychotherapy.org. Thank you, as always, for your continued support and contributions to the Psychotherapy Bulletin. We look forward to another great year!
