Alexandra Simmons earned her PsyD is Clinical Psychology with a Sport Psychology specialization at John F. Kennedy University. She completed her APA accredited internship at Illinois State University in the Sport Psychology Emphasis and is completing her APA accredited Postdoctoral Fellowship at University of California, Davis in the Sport Emphasis area. She is originally from Bethlehem, New Hampshire and earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and minor in Gender Studies from Saint Michael’s College in Winooski, Vermont. Simmons received her master’s in Sport Psychology from John F. Kennedy University. She obtained practicum experience at Santa Rosa Junior College and was a trainee within San Jose State University Athletics Department and Discovery Counseling Center. Her clinical interests include sport psychology, multiculturalism, advocacy, wellness, and identity. Outside of work, Alexandra enjoys yoga, hiking, reading, spending time outdoor, and connecting with friends and family.
