Dr. Emma Broglia is a Lecturer in Psychology at The University of Sheffield, where she researches how to make mental health support for students both effective and responsive. Her collaborative approach involves co-production with students, practitioners, and services, and includes long-standing partnerships with professional bodies including the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Through these collaborations, she aims to contribute to a clear evidence base for student needs and measure the outcomes of psychological therapies. This work informs all her research ranging from developing and validating measures to managing a practice-research network using naturalistic data to enhance university support services (see SCORE). She is also the Associate Editor for the Cogent Mental Health Journal where she oversees manuscripts concerning college student mental health and psychotherapy research.
